THE JOURNEY TOWARDS “I DO”
As it is important to me that no wedding is a repeat of the last, I ensure that each wedding is individualised. This enables me to create a personalised ceremony that is uniquely yours. Of course, this union is about the two of you, so I am more than willing to adjust and collaborate until it reflects you both as a couple. As mentioned previously, being involved in the Performing Arts my whole life has equipped me with the necessary skills so that you can be assured the delivery of your ceremony will be meaningful and well read.
The ‘nitty gritty’
Choosing a celebrant is an incredibly important and personal part of the wedding journey. I offer a free no obligation chat over a drink at a time and place that best suits you. This is to establish whether we are a great fit. If you are outside of the Waikato, there is the beauty of technology!
This all sounds great but how much?
Every wedding is unique and the cost of your ceremony will be determined once you've made contact. As mentioned above, I offer a non obligation chat so that you can get a feel for me but also so that I can ascertain the type of ceremony you are after and a confirmation of cost. Whilst I love and am happy to travel to be a part of your day, please note that I charge travel by the IRD mileage reimbursement rates which will be additional if your wedding is outside of the central Waikato region.
You’ve said YES
We will arrange to meet up to discuss in more detail your dream day and of course your love story. I then hold your hand right through the planning process. I supply resources to help with your vows and questionnaires to really get to know you better. Three months out from your ceremony you are able to apply for your marriage license and I will take care of the paperwork so it is safe come the wedding day. Once I have crafted a draft outline of your ceremony I will send to you for your approval/editing. I will always be available via email or phone if you have any questions regarding the process.
And then?
Once your ceremony outline is finalised you then each send your vows to me separately. I will be in touch during the lead up to the wedding to make sure you have all the necessary elements locked in to ensure a seamless and memorable day. I am also more than happy to meet once more to go over any last details.
Do you offer a wedding rehearsal?
Absolutely! This is entirely up to you and arrangements can be made for this. Rehearsals are not compulsory or necessary and are very much a personal decision. A rehearsal essentially offers a ‘practice’ of what the ceremony will look like. They can be helpful for bridal parties/MC’s/parents or anyone else who will have a part to play in the ceremony. If you are nervous about how it will all play out they can be great for providing clarity and working out musical timings. However, if you and your partner would rather save the magic for the day, then there is no problem with this and of course it is my job to gently guide you through anyway. Rehearsals are included in my service fee but are subject to availability- particularly if your wedding location is further a field.
As a dance teacher, would you choreograph our wedding dance?
YES! I am happy to choreograph and teach you a dance for your special day. Mention this when you get in touch if you would like more information. Please note an additional fee will apply.
And on the day?
On the day I arrive approximately one hour before your ceremony begins. This is to ensure all elements are set up and ready to go (and to calm the nerves of whoever is waiting with me!) I will have ensured that all the legal formalities are in order and of course deliver the ceremony you’ve been waiting for. At the conclusion of the ceremony, my job is done and unless asked to stay for a celebratory drink I’ll exit stage left but not before I grab you both for a quick photo!
